CAS Response from Stephen Keegan, Regional Manager for Diploma Programme IB Asia Pacific.
IB Diploma students have done so much for CAS (Creativity, Action and Service) Program. The CAS activities of IB students were reported to the IB Regional Office and here is the response received through e-mail dated March 23:
“The programme which the school has designed is closely aligned with the CAS Guide. The learning outcomes are the focus of planning and evaluation. There are effective procedures in place to help students to reflect meaningfully on their experience. The service component appears to be given appropriate emphasis, and there is the expectation that students will initiate their own activities. The school’s concern about their isolated position is noted, and in fact the programme which the school is developing is commendable in this context.”
There were different kinds of CAS activities students have done so far, for example: teaching soccer to one of national school, teaching English to orphanage children, teaching English to our school cleaning, kitchen and security staff, join different competitions, etc.
Good Job, Guys!
